Natalie d'Aubermont Thompson
Associate Director of Duke University. Seminario Managing Latin America Business Orientation, 2007.

The common theme in the feedback of our students is that they are not able to intelligently engage in discourse regarding Latin America politics and economy whereas beforehand they may not have been confident to speak on this topic. Living and studying in a country, particularly one that has undergone such an intense financial crisis, really has enabled our students to see firsthand how a country recovers after a financial default as well as understand on a deeper level the various economic and political drivers that led to the default.

2. ¿Por qué razón EDDE es la Escuela a la cual Fuqua envía anualmente la mayor cantidad de alumnos MBA de intercambio?
The Seminar "Managing Latin America" by far attracts more students than any other Exchange program that we currently offer. This is due largely, in part of the interest of our students in emerging markets, as well as the opportunity to live and study in one of the most exciting cities in the world-Buenos Aires. Fuqua is extremely grateful to the staff and professors at EDDE who have worked extremely hard to bring this program to fruition.

3. ¿Cómo compararía usted las facilidades, profesores y programas de EDDE con el de otras Escuelas de posgrado de los Estados Unidos?
I was extremely impressed with the building facilities at EDDE as well as the caliber of the faculty and guest speakers!

4. ¿Cuál considera que deberían ser los próximos pasos a tomar por EDDE y Fuqua para fortalecer aún más su alianza?
After two cycles of the Exchange program, Fuqua has definitely strengthened its relationship with EDDE and looks forward to partnering further in the future. We would love to host Argentine students at Fuqua and be able to reciprocate the same generous hospitality that EDDE has bestowed upon our students. It is important for Fuqua to have such a strong partner such as EDDE in Argentina and we look forward to deepening our relationship together-both academically and professionally.

Seminario Managing Latin America Business Orientation, 2007. Duke University.

"Most important lessons learned were for those that were either misconceptions of L.A. from the U.S. or how things must managed differently here. The focus, on either opening a business in L.A. or expanding/operating your current organization, was very beneficial.
The program provided a very balanced approach of many topics in business -an excellent well -sounded education-."

"It was a great opportunity to apply what I have learned in Fuqua courses in Finance, Marketing and Strategy in the emerging Markets environment.I recognize how much diversity, risk and opportunity there is in L.A. Instead of viewing it as one large emerging Market, I really see many different Markets with different political and economic drivers. All of the professors were excellent. I feel they introduce a good mix of academic and practitioner views."

Clarence J. Mann
Professor and Associate Chair, International Programs. Director, Institute for Global Management UMUC Graduate School of Management & Technology, 2006.

"UMUC students had a great two-week cultural and business experience in Argentina as part of a Global MBA course. The study trip was wonderfully orchestrated by EDDE and its faculty. We visited a number of firms, and attended lectures on marketing, Mercosur, and entrepreneurship. At the heart of the course was working with EDDE students online and then face-to-face on company projects. UMUC students concluded their trip presenting their project recommendations to Tenaris S.A. concerning aspects of its seamless pipeline operations in Latin America and to Bodegas Toso on an export marketing plan for its fine wines."

Bertrand Guillotin
Director of International Center of The Fuqua School of Business. Duke University.

"The Managing Latin America Business Orientation Program from EDDE has demonstrated that innovative and academically challenging programs are particularly relevant to world-class MBA students and alumni. Many institutions claim to be innovative. However, EDDE has put words into action and has clearly experienced increasing demand for its tailor-made program. The Duke MBA students have benefited from a close partnership that originated between EDDE and Duke Universitys Fuqua School of Business and led to the creation of that program. It has been a privilege to work closely with a great institution to exceed students expectations."
